A new chapter, a new beginnig

This blog existed for years, and I tried to keep it going. There were multiple efforts to keep it alive, but the time was never there. Many other tasks took priority, and only occasional posts made it to my blog.

Now I would like to give it another try. I retired last year in September, and life has changed a lot. Despite retirement, I am still very busy getting organized. Sue and I took up golfing and hiking. In addition, we want to travel a lot more in the coming years. I look forward to spending more time with my lovely wife and companion. We have already spent more than 30 years of our life together, but somehow we could not make each other the top priority. There were jobs, kids, volunteering, family issues, work to be done around tour home, care for relatives, and many more  "urgent" tasks that kept us busy. 

My wife has always been the most important person in my life. And everything we had to do, we did together. But it is time to focus more on being with each other. We gave all we could to our kids, friends, and relatives. We worked hard and were always there for others. Now we focus on each other - at least for a while. Time is something that runs like a river that cannot be stopped. You can't buy it with money, and you never know hao much is left or when the river runs dry

I want to use the blog to share my thoughts or simply write them down. Even so, the blog may or may not be the only one listening.

The idea for my blog is to offer my thoughts about life and politics - unfiltered and clearly subjective based on myself and my opinion. I am not asking for anybody to agree or disagree, to like or dislike, to argue or not to argue with me, etc.. This blog is my blog; everyone can decide if he/she wants to read it and possibly comment. All I am asking from all of you that read this blog is to respect each other the way we are.
