Thirty (30!) years ago, coming back from a service call, I walked into the 4 bedroom house where I stayed while working in the US. We shared this house among employees that stayed longer than just a few days and it provided us some comfort. Walking into the kitchen I found a 25 lb. bag of rice (never in my life had I possessed more than 1 lb. at a time) and lots of oriental spices and tools and things looking like the inventory of a Chinese kitchen. Later that evening a whirlwind entered the house and filled it with an energy I never experienced before. Instantly I knew my quiet life in these quarters was over.
Little did I know at that time...! I met Sue and we instantly connected. We talked until late into the night and it was like we know each other forever. From that night on we spent most of our free time together making fruit salad and Chinese noodle soup, going shopping and spent time together. At that time we (thought) were are just good friends – little did we know about the bond already created between us.
Fast forward 30 years, 29 years of marriage, 4 kids and a lifetime of adventure and we are still here. Life writes the best stories you can imagine, with and without your permission. I also teach you that, just because you can’t imagine it, doesn’t mean it cannot happen. Thank the Lord for the wonderful 30 years of our lives together.
